Bark Anole

Anolis distichus

Habitat:

Tree trunks. In suburban areas where it is wooded such as road side trees, and parks.

Notes:

I think I saw on line some discussion about how this little tree huggers had faired after Hurricane Irma passed through causing a lot of tree damage. I headed out to a particular tree at a near by park where I had photographed them before, along with 3 other species of anoles. On the first visit about 4 days after the storm I didn't see any. On the second visit about 10 days after I spotted at least 3 individuals on this one tree. The last 2 pics are of the tree and some of the damage it sustained.
