Steller's Jay

Cyanocitta stelleri

Description:

Most of the time these and the Scrub Jays get miscalled as a Blue Jay but they are not. Mostly blue from shoulders down with blue eye marks above the eyes to look like eyebrows. The crest to the shoulders are brown sometimes near black. Many times you see them eating fruit and seeds but they can also be scavengers and predators.

Habitat:

They can sometimes be found with Scrub Jays in woodlands and forests. This one was found in a farm/park.
