Grass Orbweaver

Perilla teres

Description:

A species of orbweaver with a long oval abdomen. They can build silken tent retreat for themselves on long grasses with an additional orb web for prey trapping. At first I have no idea what species this is until I visited the area few years later on to find that the adults are commonly found there.

Habitat:

Lives on bushes of tall grass where each one weave their own silken retreat on on a stalk of grass. Live closely together, build their silk tents near to each other.
