It is a neotropical nymphalid butterfly found from Florida and the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, to tropical and subtropical South America.
I would go with Junonia sp., since it could also be Junonia genoveva. You cannot separate the two sepecies without a clear view of the underside of the antennae tip.
