Moon Jelly

Description:

The Moon Jelly is a very common species of jellyfish that are very transparent. Because of this, when the moon shines on these jellyfish they glow because from the light, hence the name 'moon' jelly. Moon jellyfish typically grow between 25-40 centimeters wide. In bay st louis where I spotted this one, the moon jellyfish were everywhere and stayed close to the surface.

Habitat:

These specific jellyfish are very adaptive. They can live in almost all oceans, and are most commonly seen in Europe and North America.
