Cream-Colored Ladybug

Description:

Cream colored ladybug (Family Coccinellidae) with dark brown spots and an orange underside. In the last picture, they are mating while suspended from a single leg of the male.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, semi-urban area on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

This is a commonly seen species here in San Cristobal de Las Casas. The submission date should be 27 June 2015, for some reason it is showing the wrong date.

Thank you so much Johan for the identification. I am reluctant to put the species, since this one has 2 thoracic spots and the other has 4. Maybe the spot pattern is very variable? This site puts a whole bunch of differently spotted cream to orange colored ladybugs as Harmonia axyridis. It is confusing.
