Description:

Large tree (30 meters in height) with a 2 meter diameter. The leaves are borne are spirally arranged on the stem, but twisted at the base to lie in two horizontal ranks, 1–2 cm long and 1–2 mm broad. This picture shows the green seed cones which will turn gray-brown, globular, and 2-3.5 cm in diameter.

Habitat:

Lowland swamp the east, central Georgia.
