A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Papilio demoleus
It is perhaps the most widely distributed swallowtail in the world.
Common throughout the island up to an elevation of 1500 feet. It is common in urban gardens and may also be encountered in wooded country, savannahs, fallow lands, evergreen and semi-evergreen forests and shows a preference for stream and riverbeds. It is particularly abundant during and after the monsoons.
