Description:

Female is bronzy-gray to purplish pink with large "owl" eyes on yellow for the underwing. Host: Deciduous trees, shrubs and plants including clover, corn, maple, oak, willow and redbud.

Habitat:

Woodland

Notes:

I reared the io moth the year before and this was the first female to eclose.
