Habitat:

There is close to zero information about them available to me. What I know is that the probability of them residing in weedy areas is big. This one was found in an anthropic environment in a rural backwater town.

Há pouquíssima informação sobre elas disponível para mim. O que sei é que há grande probabilidade delas residirem em áreas de mata. Esta foi achada em um ambiente antrópico em uma cidade interiorana rural.

Semiothisa festivata é uma mariposa da ordem Lepidoptera, superfamília Geometroidea, família Geometridae, subfamília Ennominae e tribo Macariini.

É sabido que essas mariposas demonstram variações nas cores e padrões, e que essas diferenças podem ser fortes. Difícil dizer se realmente é da espécie festivata quando há tantas espécies no gênero e poucas imagens. Por enquanto, dado a bagunça na tribo, este é o melhor palpite que teremos. Não há muita informação sobre Semiothisa festivata; o que sei é que os adultos são nectívoros, mas desconheço as plantas hospedeiras. A tribo Macariini, neste momento, é uma completa bagunça, e alguns membros de Semiothisa podem eventualmente serem transferidos para Macaria ou outra coisa.

Semiothisa festivata is a moth in the order Lepidoptera, superfamily Geometroidea, family Geometridae, subfamily Ennominae and tribe Macariini.

It is known that these moths display variations in coloring and patterns, some of which are heavily different. Hard to tell if it is of the festivata species when there are so many species in the genus and not many pictures. For now, due to the tribe mess, this is the best hunch available. There is close to zero information on Semiothisa festivata to my knowledge; all I know is that the adults are nectarivorous, but the host plants are unknown to me. The tribe Macariini, as of now, is a complete mess and some members of Semiothisa may eventually be transferred to Macaria or something else.
