Laetiporus sulphureus

Description:

Sulphur-yellow colored carpophore, somewhat fan-shape and growing in overlapping layers. Whitish-yellow below (Ph N° 3) with large pores.

Habitat:

Growing on a lone log in grassland.

Notes:

Considered edible when young, but it needs special preparation and my provoke allergic reactions.
