Dwarf Atlantic Ghost Crab

Ocypode quadrata spp.

Description:

Crustacean, nearly clear with "chamelean-like" tendencies to blend in with the color of the surroundings. Size of 1/4 to 3/8 inches in size.

Habitat:

Sandy beach habitat just off of the water. Lives in the sea debris from the waves washing the shoreline

I suspect it is a very young ghost crab of some kind (Ocypode sp.)

...and yes, an arthropod.

this should be in the arthropods category. it has an exoskeleton.
