Tube-tail thrip

Idolothripinae

Description:

This is a predatory form of Tube-tail thrip, generally recognized by strong grasping fore legs. Very tiny, about 2.5 mm. Tube-tail thrips, these were very numerous, feeding on fungi, pollen and leaves. They are predatory especially on mites. Family Phlaeothripidae, probably Subfamily Idolothripinae.

Habitat:

Widespread on flowers and plants.
