The scarce swallowtail (Iphiclides podalirius) is a butterfly belonging to the family Papilionidae. The species is very common in Greece. The pictured female was spotted and photographed as it was feeding on purple loosestrife, near Pyli stone bridge, Thessaly, Greece.
