Spotted this caterpillar on a trail near Snow Lake, Snoqualmie Pass, WA.
Yuko,it usually helps if you can write about the trees that were around when you see,moth ,butterflies or caterpillars. Certain trees are specific hosts.Just another clue to help us ID.
Thank you Hemma! I used to think that all caterpillars are either a butterfly or moth, so I'm glad to learn that they can be a sawfly, too! I'm learning something new every day on PN. :-)
