Yes, this is not Argiope bruennichi. Not even sure it is found in Thailand, I haven't seen any reports from there. It is a typical European spider with some extension into Asia (but how far into the east?). Markings are different (see link), as well as the color and markings of the legs with dark femur in Bruennichi whereas this part in yours and Aemula are creamish/whitish.
