If the Oval shape matches then this is aemula specie as per bayucca.

In Hema's spotting I find non matching leg patter to aemula find in India.

any similarity to this. Maybe you can help ID mine too. I did not see the typical signature though,

Yes, this is not Argiope bruennichi. Not even sure it is found in Thailand, I haven't seen any reports from there. It is a typical European spider with some extension into Asia (but how far into the east?). Markings are different (see link), as well as the color and markings of the legs with dark femur in Bruennichi whereas this part in yours and Aemula are creamish/whitish.
I agree with St. Andrews Cross Spider, Argiope aemula.

I think she not A.bruennichi but she is A.aemula.
