My closest guess based upon a historic collection. The name is still existing in the literature and there are some black and white Cholus sp. Around but nobody dares to ID them...

Thanks Sarah, but unfortunately all weevils (I think) are in the family Curculionidae. That link is the exact species though, I found another picture on google images, but am hoping to get the species!
