We caught the Fox while we were making a survey for the wildlife in that site, and we put the tag on his ear for numbering and we can follow after that.

Mohammed, please can you provide us with some more information on this fascinating animal & the Al-Liyah reserve. It would be good to know about the tag on his ear for instance - do they use telemetry to track movements & behavior for instance. Please also check the ID suggestion that Nuwan has provided & update the common & scientific names if you agree. Thanks!

But alas I maybe mistaken. Turns out though the Ruppell's looks the same and is smaller, the Arabian Red has a black blaze from the neck to it's chest. It's hard to tell since I did a search and either they are IDing the incorrect animal or not all of them have the black blaze.

Ruppell's looks smaller and has more bulk on them
The Arabian Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes arabica) has the starved look as the one in the photo.
