Thanks for your expertise, Phil. There's really no way of knowing from which area this was taken or how long ago. These stones have been laying around many years; it was your fossil postings that inspired me to take a closer look.

This does appear to be coral. Based on the location and the geological maps of Florida I have found, this most likely dates to the late Pleistocene period (2.5 million to 11,700 Years ago). There is an outside chane that it is from the Pliocene period and that would put as much as 5 million years old but that is not as likely.
