Description:

Bright yellow four petaled flower with lanceolate dark green leaves. On a hebaceous plant that grows to about 7 to 9 feet high with an upright almost shrubby appearance.

Habitat:

Sandy soil in a office retail development. Growing on the edge of a manmade drainage structure at a retail office deevelopment.

@chesterbperry got it I think. The alabama site even had a subspecies. I think this is good. Made me look a little harder. Thank you.

Well guess you are not only one missing stuff, I can not account for that size. Maybe just label Ludwigia spp. until someone more experienced can help.

@chesterbperry , I agree that the flower of the sandbox is more accurate but how does one account for the 7 to 9 feet in height. Very tall and wide plants.
