Arhopala abseus amphea

Description:

The Aberrant Oakblue or Aberrant Bushblue, Arhopala abseus amphea C.& R. Felder 1865 (Lycaenidae; Lycaeninae; Theclini) is distinguishable from the other Arhopala spp. in having a short tail at the end of vein 3 of the hindwing. The ssp. A. a. amphea is distributed in most of the Philippine islands except in Palawan, Basilan, Jolo, and Tawitawi.

Habitat:

Spotted along the bank of the stream near the Kabayo Waterfalls located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Hermosa Bataan.
