Tarzetta Cup Fungus

Tarzetta sp.

Description:

Tiny cup fungus that was growing in the middle of a hiking trail in a mixed forest. The outer surface was whitish and rough textured. The inside was olive/tan colored, smooth, and slightly sticky.

Habitat:

Growing on the ground in a mixed forest with lots of hemlock and birch.
