Melitaea didyma, the spotted fritillary or red-band fritillary, is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. Melitaea didyma prefers flowery and grassy areas, meadows and roadsides. This pupa was spotted on a Tagetes flower plant, in Tzoumerka mountains National park, Epirus region Greece.
