Paragomphus genei (Sélys-Longchamps, 1841)
Paragomphus genei is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphidae. Dragonfly by small to medium sized (37-50 mm), easily recognized by their green color washed out of the head and thorax and yellowish-brown abdomen. The males have the cerci very long and curved and expansions on the ventrolateral abdominal segments 8 and 9th.
Prefers still waters or weakly current as puddles of water courses seasonal. In Italy it is reported to Sardinia, Sicily and Calabria.
