Latrodectus hasseltii
A black widow spider with a bright red linear stripe on the female. She has killed a harlequin bug. These spiders are feared although fatalities are rare, the last being in 1956. Males are diminutive. They are common and widespread in Australia.
In the garden shed.
USA have the same genus of black widow spider. She clearly didn't want me to do the gardening
