Australian Cranberry Moth

Poecilasthena pulchraria

Description:

An attractive small moth with pale green wings spanning to about 25 mm. Wings showed faint narrow white wiggly lines. Each fore wing had a dark spot near the costal margin. Costa were a pale brown.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near a suburban garden.

Notes:

Larvae of these moths feed on various plants of the Ericaceae family including Epacris, Leucopogon and Cranberry Heath.
