Arhopala centaurus aglais
The Centaur Oakblues, Arhopala centaurus aglais C. & R. Felder 1865 (syn.) Arhopala setsuroi Hayashi 1981 (Lycaenidae; Lycaeninae; Theclini), showing variation on the hindwing's underside spots pattern. This species is distinguishable by the silvery green lines edging the markings in the cell on the forewing beneath. The ssp. Arhopala centaurus aglais is distributed throughout the Philippine islands, from Leyte, Lubang, Luzon, Marinduque (type locality of the synonym A. setsuroi Hayashi, 1981), Masbate, Mindoro, Mindanao, Pollilo, Samar, Sibuyan and Tawitawi (Philippines; data from Treadaway 1995; Schroeder & Treadaway 1999).
Spotted along the bank of the stream near the Kabayo Waterfalls located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Hermosa Bataan.
