Coluber constrictor
Small brown snake with shiny scales.
This snake was found under a horsebrush that was growing with mountain big sagebrush, black sage, green rabbitbrush and several forbs and grasses.
Not only is this snake too long and skinny to be a rubber boa, it also has a brown nose and white chin that are characteristic of racers. You can also see its tail, which is very thin. Rubber boas have tails that mimic the head end of the body and are very thick. Also, seeing a rubber boa out in mid-80s weather would be extremely rare, they do not do well with warm temperatures at all.
