Cuckoo wasp

Family Chrysididae

Description:

This parasitic wasp was trying to dig a hole in a potter wasp's nest. I had seen this (or another cuckoo wasp) doing this before, right while the potter wasp was building its nest (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/166...). Today, the cuckoo wasp spent some time over the nest, but gave up eventually. I guess it was disturbed by my presence and the flash light.
