A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This mushroom had a very glutinous cap with a low profile umbo and was about 25 mm wide. The centre of the cap was darker with fine lines radiating to a paler margin. The centre of the cap showed fine warts submerged in the mucilage. Stipe was white with soft scaly covering. There might have been an annulus seen only as a flimsy ring near the stipe base. Droplets of water were seen on the stipe. Gills were close, pale and free. Glutinous hyphae were seen at the stipe base where it emerged from sodden wood.
Spotted in a damp eucalyptus forest arising from a decaying damp piece of wood.
Not able to identify this one but will keep looking...
