Lestidae
A spread-wing damselfly of some kind
Near the woods on a mowed trail with marsh on the right and woods on the left, within a city block of a fresh water lake (Lake Emma) Like Pond Damselflies I typically don't see them until they fly into the air off the mowed grass or foliage surrounding it
I love spread-wings in all their various colors. They seem to be far less numerous than Pond Damselflies although when I see a dragonfly or robber fly eating a Damselfly, its typically the smaller Pond Damselfly being consumed.
