Crab, or Flower Spider

Misumena vatia

Description:

I believe that pictured is a Crab (or Flower-Crab) Spider. I took this photo initially of the flower (Nevada Pea), and only later noted the spider. I have seen these in both Mojave Desert and woodland areas...this was spotted at Fallen Leaf Lake, adjacent to Lake Tahoe. I am open to suggestions if anyone disagrees with my identification.

Habitat:

I have spotted these in or on flowers in a variety of habitats, including wildflowers and gardens in western states.
