Colias croceus

Description:

Colias croceus is a small butterfly of the Pieridae family, that is, the yellows and whites. Like all Colias species they never open their wings at rest.

Habitat:

This butterfly can be found in just about any open habitat in the countryside, including coastal cliffs, open downland, and fields.
