Or perhaps a Yellow-bellied Slider. Trachemys scripta scripta.
This turtle looks quite large for a Painted. This may be a mature Red-eared Slider, judging by the markings and coloration. Adult Painted Turtles have red on the neck and front legs and have a flatter shell. http://srelherp.uga.edu/turtles/trascr.h...
