Kleptoparasitic Spiders

Description:

These two spiders (or male/female ?) were found fighting inside a golden web of a big Nephila Spider (in the first photo, it is at left, out of focus). the smaller spider attacks the other at regular intervals, but always loses the battle.

I am pretty sure that what you saw was the mating process. The smaller spider is a male, as you can see the palps (feelers) have bulbous ends.
