Vagrant Hoverfly

Description:

A female Vagrant Hoverfly (Eupeodes corollae), a very common European species of hoverfly.Larvae feed on aphids. That female was spotted while foraging on a Hypericum plant, but it was restless and I only managed to snap one single pic. Spotted during an early morning hike, in thw forests surrunding Tsagarada village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
