Kallima inachus
I was at a roadside food stop in the jungle of Nepal, when I saw to my left a sudden flash of color that disappeared. Using a net I had on hand, I managed to get a closer look. It was an Orange Oak leaf butterfly, and while I couldn't get a good picture of the inside wings, the spectacular camouflage alone is breathtaking.
Leaf litter in the Nepalese jungle.
Purple coloration on the inside, with orange bands on the fore wings.
