Aruta flavipes (Hampson, {1893})
This beautiful white moth has translucent wings with black costal margins, that are broken towards the apex. The termens are bordered with prominent black dots. There is a sharp black scratch mark pointing laterally at the midsection of each forewing. Even the hind wings that can be seen through the translucent forewings have their termens bordered with black dots. It has pair of very small curved pectinate antennae. It also has short, hairy yellow legs. Wing length: about 25 mm.
Mixed forests of pines, cherry, bamboo and others. Warm to cool place..
This moth had visited our terrace light at the night. Another rare beauty to share with the pn members!
