Description:

A small bivalve, maybe 1 cm across. A white shell with bands and grooved edges. The feeding parts are out catching particles in the sand and water.

Habitat:

Sandy intertidal zone.

Notes:

The local colloquial name is sand clam, but I don’t know what they’re really called.
