An aquatic tree in the Family Nyssaceae. Swollen at the base and usually grow in clusters or stands.

Habitat:

Spotted in Seven Devils Swamp. These deciduous trees in the genus (Nyssa) grow in swamps and floodplains in the Southeastern United States.
