Eudorcas thomsonii
A medium sized antelope, measuring up to 70 cm of height in shoulder, elegantly built. It shows a short smooth coat, fawn in color, with head and neck paler. Inside the legs and underparts are white. Buttocks are white, contrasting with a dark patch extending down the rump. There is also a dark horizontal band on flanks. Head with black-white-fawn pattern, carrying long and elegantly spiraled horns of up to some 30 to 40 cm in length (observed).
Lives in groups (harems) of between 10 to 30 females and one buck; these groups may join in larger herds during non-mating season. Here, this harem was observed in a mixed herd with Cokes hartebeest look-alike... Observed in savanna-like area of Nairobi National park.
Corrected - I wrongly identified this fella as Grant's; I always had some problems between the two...
