Pipevine Swallowtail

Battus philenor

Description:

I was lucky to finally be able to photograph this butterfly. They are relatively common but they are always flying, moving from one place to another. But today the sun was very strong and they stopped to get some moisture and minerals from the mud.

Habitat:

Area with many shrubs and cactus.
