Leafy Jelly Fungus

Description:

Large mass of gelatinous brown fungus. Most often found late summer through early fall. Likely fell off of a dead branch on a tree. This is a parasitic fungi. It can range from purplish brown to cinnamon brown.

Habitat:

Rocky temperate forest. Mountainous area. Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.
