Pelecanus onocrotalus
Juvenile great white pelican in the lake Orestiada of Kastoria city (temperature -5 C). Usually this species doesn't overwinter in Greece and migrates to northeastern Africa or Iraq and north India. It was alone with another juvenile Dalmatian pelican (see photo 2) and dozen of adult Dalmatian pelicans.
