Coral Snake

Micrurus tener

Description:

Red and yellow bands touching separated by black bands. This coral snake was about a foot long.

Notes:

Found a coral snake today. Unfortunately it was run over and in the last throws of life as I found it. I wish I had gotten there sooner to move or scare it out of the road.

Hi Ronald. Don't know if you are still active on Project Noah, but I would love to have this spotting of a Micrurus tener in the mission I started today. It is Coral Snakes of the World. I'm definitely going to want one of these. Thanks for sharing this photo, even though the snake was on his way out. It still looks great as an example.
