Description:

The Red-breasted Toucan is the smallest species of Ramphastos. This also is the most southern species of toucan, occuring from east central Brazil south to eastern Paraguay and northeastern Argentina. The Red-breasted Toucan is the smallest species of Ramphastos. This also is the most southern species of toucan, occuring from east central Brazil south to eastern Paraguay and northeastern Argentina. It is about 48 cm long, much corresponding to the beak. It weighs around 320 g to 400 g. It features yellow craw and green beak. The serrated of the beak is well developed and enhanced by blood red. It is the only Ramphastos to present a sharp angle in the lower jaw of the base.

Habitat:

Spotted on a blackberry tree, in urban environment.
