Description:

Balsamorhiza careyana is a species of flowering plant in the sunflower tribe of the plant family Asteraceae.

Habitat:

Spotted in the hills above the Umtanum creek in sagebrush steppe. Found in Washington and Oregon on the east side of the Cascades.
