Mycena sp

Mycena sp

Description:

Looks like another Mycena sp to me: grows in dense clusters, not exceeding 10 cm in height, and some 3 to 4 cm in diameter. Small bell-shaped striated cap, grey and whitening on edges and with incurved margin. Very light-grey, thin, hollow and fragile stem.

Habitat:

Growing in dense clusters on the floor of mixed lowland forest close to walking paths and clearings, and close to ponds in a protected marshy area of Etournel. Etournel marshes are located on the border between France and Switzerland, in rural lands close to Geneva suburbs, in the valley of lake Geneva. These marshes are very close to banks of river Rhône; and are protected under the Natura 2000.
