Psalmopoeus cambridgei
This Chevron Tarantula was found on a night walk at Asa Wright, and was on the road right near the main building.
You're welcome. I have raised a few of these from hatchlings to mature adults as pets and they are one of my 3 or 4 favorite tarantula species.
Thanks Todd
The proper common name is Trinidad Chevron ... That one is a mature male, by the way ...
Thanks Atul, it's nice seeing them in the wild.
superb!!
Thanks Maria and Jack. It was very large and they seemed to be fairly common around the lodge.
Nice! Cool to see those in the wild; they are often in the pet trade.
It looks huge! Nice spotting
