Unknown Bee

Description:

This was a small-sized bee with pale bands around the abdomen. It stood out from other similar looking bees because of a golden sheen on the body and rainbow-colours reflecting off the wings. Tibiae and tarsi were covered with short setae.

Habitat:

Spotted on tea-tree (Leptospermum sp.) in a national park.

Notes:

Hope to find an ID for this attractive, active little bee.
